Drawing from recent data in social science, the speaker will give an overview of the inequalities at play in the French school system, with a specific focus on students in underprivileged urban areas and on gender inequalities. She will also present some of the techniques of early intervention to prevent issues, learning delays and school drop-out.

Speaker:

Gaëlle Guernalec Levy is a journalist, fouder and Publisher of the website GYNGER dedicated to education and parenting professionals that focuses on public outreach of scientific research on children Development and early intervention. She is also the fouder of the PAPOTO (Parentalité pour tous) association that supports parents at high risk from a psycho-social point of view. She is the author of four books, including « Jamais dans ce lycée », a survey on school avoidance in Paris.
